Cute Owl Bookmark in 10 easy DIY steps





What do you need?



  • a pair of siccors
  • some (old) fabric
  • needle and thread
  • a ribbon or a long piece of fabric
  • 2 or 4 buttons (depends on what you can find/like)
  • a piece of paper and a pencil to draw the figures below or you just print the picture 




How do you make it?


1. Cut out the figures.
2. Put them on the piece of fabric.
3. Now draw the figures on the fabric.


If you're using fabric that frays, you'll need:             
  • 2 x Body
  • 2 x Tail
  • 4 x Wing
  • 4 x Beak


If you're using fabric that doesn't fray, you'll need:           
  • 2 x Body
  • 1 x Tail
  • 2 x Wing
  • 2 x Beak


4. Put the two Bodies with the beautiful side on each other.
5. Sew 3/4.
6. Turn the now one Body inside out.
7. Fill the Body using old newspaper, sewing leftovers....
8. Sew the last 1/4.


If you're using fabric that frays, repeat the above:
  • one time for the Tail
  • two times for the Wings
  • two times for the Beak


9. Assemble the Owl Bookmark as on the picture above.
10. Attach the ribbon or rectangle piece of fabric on the back of the owl.  




You now have a cute Owl Bookmark. ^w^
